This springie has 1mm E4 neoprene, this wetty is lightweight and stretchy so you won’t feel held back or stiff in the water. Having 1mm of neoprene under your chest also makes paddling much more comfortable. Unlike a rashie or neoprene vest, a springie won’t move around when you come off or duck dive, which means you have consistent coverage and thermal retention.

Using Rip Curl’s signature E-Stitching, the elasticity of the E4 neoprene is complimented through the seams which usually act as a sort of barrier to stretch. These seams act almost as springs and are intended to stretch, the downside of this being they’re not the most effective when it comes to water sealing (less important in a 1mm spring suit).
