Rip Curl’s 1 Piece Blue Traction Pad is an easy way to add that necessary extra traction when you’re in the water. Their exaggerated textured finish and kicktail raise in the rear give you something secure to plant that back foot on where all the pressure is applied when you’re turning.

Made from a high-density EVA foam (otherwise known as expanded rubber or rubber foam), traction pads are soft but durable. Rip Curl’s pads feature a diamond groove patterning to optimise grip. The base flex groove at the tail pad helps it to mould to the shape of the board for more effective adhesion.

An advantage of a single piece traction pad is that they’re easier to apply. More pieces means more room for error when you’re trying to line things up. It just means you’re not able to choose your tail pad coverage quite as well.
