Quiksilver Men’s Marathon Sessions 1.5mm Gloves will keep your hands comfortable when you’re out in seriously chilly conditions. At a thickness of just 1.5mm, these gloves are constructed of a thin neoprene that allows you to maintain that feeling through your hands, whether that be for your take-off when surfing, bar when kitesurfing or paddle when going SUP.
Another advantage of their design is the textured palm. This helps to add that bit of extra stickiness that neoprene on its own can’t provide. All the seams have been thoroughly sealed with LFS technology so you don’t experience water infiltration or a loss of dexterity due to stiff seams.
Although it really just comes down to personal preference, Quiksilver recommends these gloves for low water temperatures of 8o – 12o C (or 46o – 53o F), but really these are entry-level gloves in terms of thickness so if you feel as though you need some extra coverage then these are the way to go. You might consider wearing these during Winter from as far south as southern NSW through Tasmania.

Quiksilver Men’s Marathon Sessions 1.5mm Gloves Features:
- 100% StretchFlight x4 Neoprene: This is a limestone-derived neoprene vs the traditional petroleum method, making it a more environmentally conscious option. It’s also a neoprene model that boasts great thermal retention and dries fast, all while being flexible and lightweight.
- LFS Seams: This is like a seam-free seam – there’s no stitching involved, just a ‘welding’ technique that uses more flexible glue and taping to bind neoprene panels and keeps water out. The key thing about this design is it will stretch more than a stitched seam.
- Aqua Glue: Eco-friendly lamination
- Textured Palms and Fingers: Giving you added grip in the water.
- Quiksilver’s Recommended Temp Range: 08oC-12oC / 46oF-53oF
