Dakine’s Womens Mission 1mm Back Zip Spring Suit is something of an in-between style of swimwear. The thinner 1mm neoprene is perfect for staying comfortable in relatively warmer water (around the 22-23 degree mark, but it comes down to personal preference). But, being thin means less bulk – so it isn’t as heavy as a regular springie and is easier to move around in. The cushioning of the 1mm neoprene is also superior to regular lycra rashies for preventing chafing against a surfboard.
Extensive coverage also means extensive sun protection. The dark 1mm material is a surefire way to prevent sunburn, crucial for any surfer on the Australian coast. The strategically placed seams are located on the front of the shoulder to leave a continuous neoprene panel under the arms intended to prevent chafing.
If you want to get the most out of your Dakine Women’s Mission 1mm Back Zip Spring Suit we recommend washing it with the Australian made Wetsuit Wash and reading our Wetsuit Maintenance Guide.
