Although they’re unsuited to winter due to their sleeveless design, you can get away with them pretty much any other time of the year. One of the biggest advantages of this design is how your arms are freed up (ignoring the lack of sun protection). By removing neoprene from around the shoulders and arms your range of motion is unrestricted, meaning you use less energy fighting your neoprene.

The Billabong Mens 202 Revolution GBS Long John Wetsuit boasts sealed seams and Billabong’s premium furnace graphene lining for improved thermal retention. This long john also features simplistic black styling with an epic gold billabong logo so you can look your best when out in the surf. The zipperless design is also a huge plus as well, not having a zipper means you avoid the fiddly process of doing it up and means you avoid having decreased flexibility through whichever neoprene panels the zipper is going through. Instead, the wettie features a velcro strap on the shoulder for quick donning and doffing.

This suit is ideal for surfing any time outside of Winter for South-East QLD and NSW. Depending on personal preference Summer might be too warm for a long leg cut. If you’re further South you may want to opt for a suit with sleeves in these months.

Furnace lining is hydrophobic and is stitched in a way that creates countless air-bubbles in the lining, in-turn improving on thermal retention! It dries quickly too.
• Superflex 280 Jersey: Stretchy, light and quick-drying nylon jersey laid through the high-stress panels. Stretching to 280% its resting state and made from upcycled tyres. Need we say more.? No, but we’re gonna.
• AX1 Jersey: A more durable, less supple version of the Superflex 250 – used in the low-stress panels.
• Strategic Seam Placement: Billabong has minimised the total number of seams which in turn creates a more flexible suit. The same notion as the uninterrupted torso panels!
