Billabong 302 Womens Synergy Back Zip Flatlock Steamer is a premium quality ladies surfing wetsuit. This high-performance cold water wet suit will not let you down, only upwards.. to the top of your game! The Billabong Womens Surf Capsule range is going from strength to strength and the 302 Womens Synergy Back Zip Flatlock Steamer is part in parcel with this progression.
In today’s wetsuit world there’s a big trend towards chest zips, in part because it’s suggested that they’re stretchier and warmer. The notion of warmth lies in that a chest-zip suit does not let water into the body compartment, via the zip. Back-zips, on the other hand, tend to let water into the suit, however, the BBillabong 302 Womens Synergy Back Zip Flatlock Steamer features a water-barrier between your skin and the zipper, this prohibits all zip-induced water from entering the warm, core compartment.
To get the most out of your Billabong 302 Womens Synergy Back Zip Flatlock Steamer we recommend washing it with Wetsuit Wash and reading our maintenance guide.
Billabong 302 Womens Synergy Back Zip Flatlock Steamer Features:
- 3/2mm Steamer Wetsuit: By laying 2mm Neoprene in the ‘paddle zones’ and 3mm in the non-stretch zones Billabong has optimised the warmth/stretch relationship. The warmer your chest zone the less work your body is doing to retain warmth!
- Flatlock Stitching: Flatlock stitched seams are the most durable seam, but due to the pinholes created by this stitching it isn’t the warmest style. . Watch our video on wetsuit seams.
- Back Zip Enclosure: The original style of wetsuit enclosure is very easy to get on and off but has the added bonus of being able to roll it down to your hips when you’re out of the water, to stop you from overheating! Get the full rundown with our Zip Info Video.
- Back Zip Gusset: No back-zip is truly waterproof so the only way to stop cold water entering the body of the suit is by stitching an additional layer from the shoulders to the base of the zip – this means that any water entering the zip hits the panel and then drains out of the suit through the base of the zip.
- Strategic Seam Placement: By minimising the total amount of seams can make a wet suit substantially more flexible and comfortable. This can be challenging but comes as second nature to Billabong thanks to their 4 decades of wet suit manufacturing.
